Daniel Pink

Meet Daniel Pink
One of the world’s leading business minds, Daniel Pink’s forward-thinking ideas and blockbuster books are reshaping how organizations approach innovation, motivation and talent.

Like it or not, we’re all in sales now. One in 9 American workers now earns a living by trying to get someone else to make a purchase. But as Daniel Pink shows in his latest book, To Sell Is Human, the other 8 in 9 are spending huge portions of their days in “non-sales selling”—convincing, persuading and influencing others. A cluster of economic forces has changed sales more in the last 10 years than it changed in the previous 100, and made the skeezy, sleazy, used-car style of motivating others to action a relic of the past. Emerging in its place is a new approach built on three fundamentally human qualities and three essential skills. As he did in his long-running New York Times best sellers Drive and A Whole New Mind, Pink lays out the science for his counterintuitive insights, offering vivid studies and tools to make organizations more effective. Pink’s previous books have been translated into 33 languages and have sold well over one million copies in the U.S. alone. His TED talk on the science of motivation is one of the 20 most-watched TED talks of all time. In 2011, Harvard Business Review and Thinkers50 named him one of the top 30 business thinkers in the world. His articles appear in The New York Times, Harvard Business Review and Wired. He advises startups and Fortune 100 companies on talent, engagement and innovation, and currently hosts Crowd Control, a series on National Geographic Television that takes problems and creates solutions using unique design, technology and behavioral science principles.

Rick Bradley

This interactive presentation by Rick Bradley covers the award-winning exercise program based on his book, Quick Fit: The Complete 15-Minute No-Sweat Workout, published by Simon and Schuster. The seminar is designed for those individuals who know that exercise is good for them, but remain physically inactive for many reasons. It emphasizes cardiovascular fitness, abdominal strengthening, upper body strengthening, and total body flexibility. The seminar demonstrates how busy people can exercise effectively and consistently utilizing the simple Quick Fit exercise program.

Fitness expert and motivator Richard R. “Rick” Bradley, III, is the creator of the Quick Fit exercise program and the author of the Quick Fit: The Complete 15-Minute, No-Sweat Workout book (Simon & Schuster, 2004) and DVD. Rick and the Quick Fit program have been featured in The Washington Post and he has appeared on NBC's “Today Show,” C-SPAN, PBS’s “America’s Walking,” and the Voice of America broadcast. He now hosts his own radio show, “Fit Feds,” on Federal News Radio (WFED AM 1050 in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area), where he discusses all aspects of health and fitness.

Rick was the Director of the Occupational Health and Fitness Program at the U.S. Department of Transportation for 27 years. Under his leadership, program participation has been three times higher than the national average for workplace fitness centers: a result of Rick’s unique ability to communicate, educate, and motivate. Rick has received numerous awards for his work, including the Secretary of Transportation's Silver Medal Award for Meritorious Achievement. He also served as flexibility coach for the Washington Redskins football team under legendary head coach Joe Gibbs.

Since 1985, Rick has presented a variety of unique seminars to corporations, government agencies and educational institutions across the United States, including Creative Stress Management, Work-Life Wellness and Quick Fit. Rick holds a B.S. degree with honors in exercise physiology and education from the University of Maryland. He also has a national certification in occupational health and has pursued graduate studies in sports medicine and stress management.

Each attendee will receive Rick's Quick Fit Deck
The Quick Fit Deck is a 4”x6” booklet that shows all the Quick Fit exercises, with muscle descriptions, instructional tips and an exercise tracking calendar. The deck fits in the palm of your hand so you have easy access to all of the Quick Fit exercises no matter where you perform your daily Quick Fit exercise program.
